software testing - to ensure that there are no incompatabilities with existing hardware or software
pre-rollout training of staff - to prepare staff for the rollout to minimise change resistance
software installation - done at a time to best manage any possible issues to that the impact on the business is minimised
post installation support and maintenance - to deal with the myriad of issues which may arise during the roll out process
on-going training - existing staff must have the ability to upgrade their skills while new staff must be prepared to be able to operate independantly when commencing work
